Interim Superintendent and Superintendent for American British Academy (ABA)- An IB World School, Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman

Littleford & Associates is conducting concurrently the searches for an Interim Superintendent for July 1, 2019 and a Superintendent for July 1, 2020.  ABA – An IB World School is an independent, not-for-profit, co-educational, day school located in Muscat, the capital of the Sultanate of Oman. It offers the PYP, MYP and IB Diploma Programme. Founded in 1987, ABA has a strong and well-established reputation, both locally and internationally.  

The School is currently in the process of completing construction of its new state of the art second campus which will house the Secondary school with the Elementary School remaining at the current campus. ABA has a total enrolment of about 1050 students. The student body is remarkable in its diversity, with almost 70 nationalities represented among the students and 23 nationalities among the faculty.  The average length of faculty service is 5 years, contributing to a community characterized by strong teaching and continuity of relationships. 

Oman is known as the “Jewel of the Gulf” and celebrated for its variety of beautiful landscapes. To the south of both School campuses are majestic mountains and close by to the north are white coastal beaches of the Sea of Oman.
